Alwoodleigh Residential Care Home

What are we doing on the 20th June?:

Welcome to Alwoodleigh Care Home

We are delighted to be joining the National Care Home Open Day on the 20th June 2014. We will be opening our doors from 2pm until 4pm with several activities taking place throughout the afternoon. Our home manager and his team of highly trained staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

We will be having afternoon tea/coffee for the residents and we welcome the community to get involved. Activities going on through out the afternoon include a Quiz and a variety of board games, dvds and a memory bank. We will also be having an entertainer performing at the home. On display will be arts and crafts done by the residents.

During the day we will take you on a personal tour of our home, outlining the types of care we provide whilst introducing you to the team of staff that make the home so special. We will talk about our plans for the future, introduce you to some of our residents and go through everything you need to know about your local care home.

There will be light refreshments and snacks available throughout that day and plenty of activates for people of all ages.

For more information about the home or to request a brochure pack before the event please contact us on 01484 453333 or visit our website www.orchardcarehomes.com

So why is our care home such a great place?

1o why is our care home such a great place?:

Our dedicated team of staff at Alwoodleigh provide 24hr care on a short and long term basis.

Our Philosophy is simple; we want our residents to get the most out of life while getting the care they require. We never forget that our residents are individuals and we treat everyone with dignity, respect and privacy. We offer freedom of choice and encourage our residents to be as independent as possible.

Friends and family are welcome any time of day and are always invited to share a hot drink, snack or meal with their loved ones. Our cook prepares three nutritious meals a day with a menu that change’s to reflect seasonal produce. We also cater for special diets and requirements.

We have plenty of activities going on at the home with our activities coordinator completing a full programme which is adapted to suit the needs and wishes of our residents. Activates include quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games and arts and crafts.

The home was built within lovely grounds and is surrounded by gardens which some rooms look out on to. Our residents are able to walk around our gardens and see the wildlife that is spotted on a regular basis.

Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to request a broacher pack for more information on our open day
