Caring Homes Abbeycrest Care Home

What are we doing on the 20th June?:

To commemorate National Care Home Open Day, we would like to invite you to join us for Afternoon Tea on 20th June 2014. We are supporting National Care Home Open Day as it provides a positive platform from which we can come together and celebrate some of the Great Care & Support which really does exist in care homes up and down the country!

Whilst the media exposes some horror stories we are keen to be part of something special that shows the other side of care. So relatives who are going through the difficult and emotive time of choosing a care home for a cherished relative can meet others and see that daily life in a care home can be a positive experience for many!

National Care Home Open Day will provide an opportunity for members of the public to gain real insight into daily life in a care home, meet elderly residents and find out from them what life is really like, share in some typical activities and meet the friendly staff team

Visitors and links with our local community are really important to us, so if you are unable to attend on the day but would like to find out more we would be delighted to welcome you join us at a more convenient time.

1o why is our care home such a great place?:

Located in the quiet village of Sonning Common, in the heart of the Chilterns, Abbeycrest is one of Caring Homes’ newest care homes in Berkshire, offering exceptional residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.

Abbeycrest provides residents with a true Care Pathway by offering a full suite of residential, nursing and dedicated dementia care. As such, residents may rest safe in the knowledge that the home can cater for their care needs both now and in the future.

The home’s bedrooms and communal areas have been designed and furnished to the highest standard, utilising bespoke materials, with a blend of traditional fabrics, wall papers and furnishings to create a real ‘home from home’ ambience. Every bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and many have patio access to the landscaped gardens or Juliet balconies overlooking the nearby woodland.
